
SPROUTS IN THE PARK

Sprout Levels 2, 3, and 4
Bring your instruments and join us as we play through some of everyone's favorite pieces in this capstone concert for the String Sprouts program. Featuring performances by String Sprouts teachers and Frontier Strings, this concert is sure to be fun for everyone!
GENERAL INFO
- Families should arrive between 9:45 and 10:15 am.
- Find a great spot on the green, and unpack your instrument.
- Sprouts staff will be on the green to assist with instrument tuning.
- Sprouts will play their instruments from their family’s spot on the green.
- Families are welcome to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy after the concert!
- Midtown Crossing does not have public bathroom facilities. There will be Porta-Johns available for use.
- Turner Park welcomes leashed animals, but we are asking our families to please refrain from bringing family pets to this event. Not all of our Sprouts are comfortable with animals, and we want everyone to have a stress-free time at the park.
- In the event of inclement weather, we will let families know via email and the Caregiver Facebook page if we need to cancel the concert.
WHAT TO BRING
- Bring your instrument! Cello Sprouts, please remember your cello stool.
- Bring a blanket or lawn chairs.
- Sprouts should wear their tuxedo shirt and shorts/pants/skirt of their choice - the brighter, the better! If you need a tuxedo shirt, they will be available (free of charge!) at a table near the stage.
PARKING
- Midtown Crossing offers three (3) hours free parking with validation in two (2) adjacent parking garages, accessible from 33rd, off of Farnam and Harney Streets. Validation for up to three (3) hours of parking is available with purchase at any MTC restaurant or retail outlet.
- For those parking without validation, garage rates shift to an affordable $1 per hour.
- Metered parking is available along Farnam Street and within Turner Park. Metered parking is short-term (max. two (2) hours).
- Handicapped parking is available inside the parking garages on each level.
COVID PROTOCOLS
- This concert will follow current City of Omaha face mask protocols: Residents are not required to wear face coverings outdoors, but it is highly recommended if social distancing isn't possible.
- For the comfort of all of our families, please observe social distancing when setting up your spot on the green space.
